RESEARCH
After reviewing various companies that produced kettles, I was inspired by Fellow's stylish designs and decided to design a kettle using their design language.

IDEATION

I made rapid kettle iterations using CAD software.

REFINEMENT

Next, I made a pink foam sketch model to adjust the proportions and ensure that the handle was ergonomic.

PROTOTYPING THE PHOTOREAL MODEL

Once I had chosen a design and refined it using the sketch model, I made the final photoreal prototype out of pink foam covered in epoxy.

TAKEAWAYS

This was my first time making a photoreal model, and my first time using epoxy to coat pink foam. It was a messy and time-consuming process but produced a realistic-looking prototype.
